The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is home to monumental art and ideas. Since its debut in 1988 it has welcomed nearly 13 million visitors, offering each person the unique opportunity to interact with world-renowned artwork nestled in a lush natural landscape.

Only in the Garden can we find families picnicking alongside the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry. Nearby, school groups gather on the pristine white benches of Okciyapi, circling the fountain like ripples from a drop of water. Friends reconnect while wandering through the tree groves, discovering hidden treasures by George Segal and Danh Vo. All the while Privilege Points’ pastel squiggles sit scattered along the hillside, inviting us to pause and take in the view.

We treasure these creative moments now more than ever. In the recent years of upheaval and uncertainty, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden has continued to be an inspiring space for our community. In 2022 alone the Garden and its collection of unparalleled contemporary art attracted over 400,000 visitors. I feel tremendously fortunate to have this art sanctuary right here in Minneapolis.

As we emerge from a record-breaking season of winter storms, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden needs your help.

One of the greatest challenges we face is the conservation of the Garden’s outdoor sculptures. The dramatic seasonal changes in Minnesota have damaging effects on all of these artworks, with many requiring repairs after this winter’s low temperatures and relentless snowfall. With your support, we can make sure our beloved sculptures are ready for the sunny days ahead.

The ongoing care for artworks is supported by donations to the Garden Fund.

These gifts also underwrite the Walker’s educational and artistic programming in and around the Garden. This summer we’re excited to offer free events across all 19-acres of our outdoor space. Highlights will include live music, performances, art-making activities, film screenings, and guided tours.

With your support we can ensure that the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden continues to thrive, bringing people together through exceptional artistic experiences. Join me in showing your love for this treasured space by making a fully tax-deductible gift to the Garden Fund today. As a special thanks, donations of $500 or more will receive recognition in the Walker’s Annual Report.

The vitality of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is maintained through the generosity of you, our community members. Thank you very much for your support!

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a project of the Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
